Consumer

A person who buys and uses the goods that is sold at a retail outlet is termed as a Consumer. Based on the usage of goods by the Consumer the latter visits the concerned retail outlet for more. The profit of retailing business is highly dependent on the user of the goods. The making and breaking of a business is precariously balanced on the satisfaction of the Consumer. Technically speaking a hairline difference exists between the customer and the Consumer. A customer is the buyer of goods. He comes to a retail shop chooses the desired item and pays the price.
The usage of that particular item is not limited to the person actually buying the good. At times it may not be used by the buyer at all. He or she may have bought it for the user and has no intention of using it. The Consumer is the user of the product brought from a shop. A retailer buys products and commodities from the wholesaler. He in turn buys it from the manufacturer. The customer walks into a shop and chooses the product of his choice and requirement. The Consumer then utilizes the item bought. The success of manufacturing a product lies in the hands of the person who has utilized it. If the product meets the demands of usage then the retail outlets clear the stock with a blink of an eye. The profits made by the producer is directly linked to the Consumer. The latter is often referred to as the decider. The business cycle revolves around the Consumer. The market of a product is good or bad that is administered by consumer usage.
The word Consumer comes from the word consumption. A person who consumes a product. The rate of consumption of a product is correlated to the economy of the business. The more the consumption more is the growth of the related business and hence more is the profit administered by the concerned people. Agencies have been created that look into the interest of the user. These Consumer forums are responsible for removing a product from a market if it does not suit the consumers. Complaints about harmful commodities and bad quality products are entertained by the members of the forum and accordingly actions are taken. Thorough surveys are done and if the product is found to be faulty immediate steps ensure its removal.
